A liberal religious voice in the Central Valley since 1953.

We, the women of the UUFSC congregation, have joined together to endorse and implement the 1977 UUA Women and Religion Resolution which fosters the spiritual and intellectual growth of women and which challenges us to examine and change sexist assumptions and stereotypes.

We honor the influence and work of past women by exploring their roles in diverse religious traditions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Earth based, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. We also honor those women from both religious and humanist traditions who have worked to change the educational, religious, social, political, economic, and medical conditions of women everywhere.

We acknowledge that it is our responsibility to determine our individual and community roles as women and it is our duty to teach gender equality by example and through education.

While we respect the past, we wish to create our own traditions that are a result of our shared growing and learning experiences.

We welcome all women who want to participate, contribute, learn, teach, and grow. We offer the exuberance of youth, the experience of age, and the opportunity for open mindedness and acceptance in a confidential, enthusiastic, and supportive environment conducive to resolving issues and finding solutions, fostering laughter and friendship, and encouraging reflection and introspection.
