People Tour

Bill G. dishing out macaroni for the homeless. This particular shelter was only open November to April. This was the April meal; we wanted to give them something remember fondly. The first principle of UU beliefs is "The inherent worth and dignity of every person", even if they don't have a job and live under a tarp down by the river. We served:

• Savory chicken broth
• Shank ham slices with fruit glaze
• Pineapple bits
• Macaroni and cheese with real cheddar and scallions
• Baked beans with molasses
• Green salad (Romaine, spring greens, grated carrots, broccoli, red onions, golden currants, slivered almonds)
• Chocolate pudding
• Vanilla wafers
• Rolls and butter
