Two ladies and a homeless person December 12, 2011: Christmas Dinner for the homeless
We cooked and served the standard holiday dinner for the 150 people at the homelss shelter. About half of our choir came and sang carols to our guests. Everyone was well-prepared except the webmaster, who forgot to take pictures. Our guests were in high spirits; picture at left shows two choir members and a guest. We served hot spiced cider, roast turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams, gravy, cranberry sauce, green peas with mint, green salad, roll and butter, ice cream, milk or lemonade. Half a dozen people baked and decorated Christmas cookies in their homes, and we gave each guest a bag of them.


Rev. Joe Cherry December 10, 2011: Rev. Joseph Cherry named Interim
It is with great pleasure that the Board of Trustees introduces our new interim minister, Rev. Joseph Cherry. Rev. Joe will join us in mid-January to begin his interim ministry. He has been a Chaplain resident at Saint Francis Hospital in San Francisco. He has been an active UU for many years and made a mid-life transition to become a UU minister. He was ordained by the First Unitarian Society of Chicago May 14, 2011. His family includes his partner, Rev Denis L. Paul, a UU community minister, and their little dog, Toulouse. Rev. Grace Simons October 30, 2011: Rev. Grace's Last Service

We serve Ceres, Denair, Escalon, Hickman, Hughson, Keyes, Manteca, Modesto, Oakdale, Patterson, Ripon, Riverbank, Salida, Turlock and Waterford. We welcome Agnostics, Atheists, Buddhists, Christians, Deists, Free-thinkers, Humanists, Jews, Pagans, Theists, Wiccans, and those who seek their own spiritual path. We welcome people without regard to race, physical ability, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
