A liberal religious voice in the Central Valley since 1953.

[This is one of the status reports on our new classroom building. Fernando Ramirez, SCS, was marvelously conscientious about keeping us updated throughout the summer of 2010.]

In the past week we have accomplished the following:

  • Installed sheet metal flashing around the base of the modular building.

  • Completed grading the site around the building to within 16 inches of the threshold; this allowed us to establish the final survey stakes.

  • Installed the underground electrical chases on the west side of the building, where we will place the switchgear.

This coming week’s activities include:

  • Continue to "finish grade" the site.

  • Begin the concrete flatwork.

  • Continue the remaining underground electrical work; chases from the transformer to the building, transformer to the main power line, transformer to the existing building, switchgear to the water well, switchgear to the site light.

  • Additionally, Pacific Mobile will be working on the flooring and casework inside the building.

[Ed. note: The term "switchgear", used in association with an electric power system, refers to the combination of electrical disconnects, fuses and/or circuit breakers used to isolate electrical equipment. (Wikipedia)]
