There's a sketch map of the area just below. If you do better with words than pictures, you can scroll or hop down to the directions. Please also read the safety suggestions on our Two Services page. The Tour: We don't have a full-fledged tour of our modest buildings, just some pictures emphasizing the good points. We also have a tour of our new (as of November 2010) classroom building. If you are thinking about visiting us, we have a page of Questions and Answers for first-time visitors; helpful things, like what to expect during the service and how most people dress. Area Map
(We left out some towns for clarity. Our apologies to Ceres, Hughson, Patterson and Waterford, among others. ) Wheelchair UsersIt doesn't do much good to know how to get there if you can't get in once you find the place. Our buildings are wheelchair accessible. One of the guys on the web committee uses a wheelchair. DirectionsFrom ModestoThe church is about three miles from the Vintage Faire Mall. We're at 2172 Kiernan Avenue, between Dale and Carver. The church is on the south side of Kiernan. That is the right side if you are driving east, from Dale road. It is the left side if you are driving west, from Carver, Tully or McHenry. From out of town - North, South or West of ModestoThe simplest way to get to our church from outside of Modesto is to take Highway 99 north or south to exit 233, the Salida exit. The signs say 233, Salida, Riverbank and 219, since Kiernan Road is also state route 219. Turn east on 219 towards Riverbank. The church is 2.7 miles from the exit. You'll see a traffic light at Sisk Road. When you pass it you'll know you are on the right road. You'll come to a traffic light on Dale Road. Continue through it on Kiernan. When you see the sign for Morrow Road, start slowing down. We're about 400 yards beyond Morrow. We'll be on the right hand side of the road. Our address is 2172 Kiernan. The church is an old wooden building, light yellow with green trim. (Picture at the top of the page.) From out of town - East of ModestoIf you live in Riverbank or Oakdale, the easiest way to get to our church is to take Claus or Old Oakdale Road to Claribel. Turn right (west). Claribel becomes Kiernan at McHenry. Keep driving west. We're about two miles west of McHenry, on the left side of the road. Start looking for us when you pass Stanislaus Union School, (Home of the Mustangs) on your right. We're about 1/4th of a mile west of them. Our address is 2172 Kiernan. The church is an old wooden building, light yellow with green trim. (Picture at the top of the page.) If you live East of Modesto and south of Oakdale, but not south enough to just go west to 99 and north, take your normal route to the mall and adjust accordingly. Other InformationModesto is 90 miles east of San Francisco, California. It is a farming town of 200,000 in the Central Valley. The Gallo Wine company has their headquarters in Modesto, and George Lucas, of Star Wars fame, went to high school here.
