Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Stanislaus County

Welcome!

Love is the doctrine of this Fellowship.

We shift to ONE service, at 10:00 am, on May 19, 2013.

Welcome! Unitarian Universalism is a unique denomination, because we have different beliefs about the nature of God. We have a set of common principles, which focus on action, not beliefs. Our Beliefs page has more about our beliefs and our principles. Curious? Our Frequently Asked Questions page has some answers. Our site has these main sections:
About Us: A sub-directory for pages specific to our congregation; contacts, history, committees, tours ... Rev. Joseph Cherry: Biography and Sermons.
Newcomers: a welcome, then links to FAQ, our Map and more. Sunday Services: Times and topics.

Ministerial Search Committee progress reports.

Adult Classes and Groups: Artists, Buddhists, Women ... Adults who meet on a regular basis. Beliefs: Most of the rumors about us are not true.
Calendar and News: (News has pictures.) Children: Classes and child care.
Faith in Action and our Social Action Council: We work for a better world. Guest Sermons: From visiting clergy and lay people; scientists, artists, poets and teachers.
Links: To sites we like. Merced: UUs of Merced, our satellite congregation.

We are the only UU congregation in Stanislaus county. We serve Ceres, Denair, Escalon, Hickman, Hughson, Keyes, Modesto, Oakdale, Patterson, Ripon, Riverbank, Salida, Turlock and Waterford. (See UU Valley and Sierra for our UU neighbors.)

Welcome!

Come, come, whoever you are - You are welcome here!
No matter your age, your size, the color of your eyes, your hair, your skin - You are welcome here!
No matter how you came here - if you came alone, or with others - You are welcome here!
No matter whom you love, or how you speak, or whatever your abilities - You are welcome here!
Whether you come with laughter in your heart, or tears - You are welcome here!
If you come here with an open mind, a loving heart, willing hands - You are welcome here!
Ours is no journey of despair - You are welcome here!

Adapted from the Sufi poet Rumi, as used in our hymn #188.
