We are a liberal church and the only UU congregation in Stanislaus county. We serve Ceres, Denair, Escalon, Hickman, Hughson, Keyes, Manteca, Modesto, Oakdale, Patterson, Ripon, Riverbank, Salida, Turlock and Waterford. We welcome people, be they Agnostic, Atheist, Buddhist, Christian, Deist, Free-thinker, Humanist, Jew, Pagan, Theist, Wiccan, or those who seek their own spiritual path. We welcome people without regard to race, physical ability, ethnicity or sexual orientation.

Several UU districts run a program named Chalice Lighters.
Chalice Lighters are people who light one candle instead of
cursing the darkness. They contribute a small, set amount to
"Promote and Strengthen Unitarian Universalism" several
times a year. The amounts and timing vary by district. In our
Pacific Central District (PCD), Chalice Lighters contribute
as little as $10, three times a year. The money goes to
congregations in our district for projects designed to promote
growth of the congregation.
