The public Relations Committee had just one member for the 12 months ending June 30, 2008, Pat Egenberger. She writes: I write articles for the newsletter, announcements for the Order of Service and the end of the service. I make posters, send e-mail announcements to groups and individuals, and with the help of friends, make phone calls to advertise events. Bernadette Burns designs posters and flyers for us. Tracy Cramer, our administrator, organizes and publishes the newsletter, e-announcements and the order of service. The aesthetics committee members - Helen Buchner, Aynslie and Adlai Frederickson, Bill Greer, Victoria Caldwell and other committee members as well as Phyllis Young, our "hostess with the mostest", work diligently to make our sanctuary attractive and welcoming. Our website highlights more than a dozen aspects of our church life and attracts people to our services and other events. The Modesto Bee has given us good press for the Mardi Gras fundraiser and for our minister, Reverent Grace Simons. We are currently seeking more members to help share the good news. |
