A liberal religious voice in the Central Valley since 1953.
   

Twelve new members signed the membership book during the year.

During the church year, committee:

  • Conducted two new member orientations.
  • Maintained orientation packets.
  • Initiated a follow-up letter for guests that attend a new member orientation.
  • Conducted three new member potlucks.
  • Conducted two new member Sundays.
  • Maintained new member packets and chalice pins (also requested name tags).
  • Completed one greeter training.
  • Scheduled Sunday greeters and ushers.
  • Maintained brochures and pamphlets in the sanctuary.
  • Followed-up with guests that request information on visitor cards.
  • Updated new member interview guide.
  • Provided new member biographical information to the In FocUUs newsletter.
  • Completed ten committee meetings, one annual committee retreat.
  • Maintained guest sign-in materials at the greeter podium.
  • Provided pictures of new members for the sanctuary.
  • Began to organize an informal get-together of the Fellowship by neighborhoods to be held periodically throughout the year.
  • Participated in the advertising campaign for areas near the Bay Area.
  • Provided names of new members for the coordination of new member pledges.
  • Provided names of new members for the coordination of circle dinners.
  • Requested the help of Michele Weber from the Finance Committee for new member orientations.
  • Reviewed promotional films "Repelling Fewer Visitors," "From Newcomer to New Member," and "Closing the Revolving Door."
  • Reviewed film "Voices of a Liberal Faith."
  • Participated in Church Council meetings.
  • Budgeted for membership committee needs.

We are the only UU congregation in Stanislaus county. We serve Ceres, Denair, Escalon, Hickman, Hughson, Keyes, Manteca, Modesto, Oakdale, Patterson, Ripon, Riverbank, Salida, Turlock and Waterford. We welcome Agnostics, Atheists, Buddhists, Deists, Free-thinkers, Humanists, Christians, Jews, Theists, Wiccans, and those who seek their own spiritual path within an accepting, welcoming community.
