This is our church from the street. It was built in 1911 in the Craftsman style.

The first time you visit, you may park right next to the door. We have three spots for visitors, and an electric car charging station. They will be on your right as you drive in.

This is the entrance to the patio between the Sanctuary and the Block Building where we gather after services.

Our pulpit. Walt Lab, former art professor at Modesto Junior College and a long-time member, made the lectern out of a walnut stump turned up-side down, many years ago. It stands on our podium. That’s one of our chalices to the right and Rev. Joe Cherry, 2012 – 2014 Interim minister, speaking.

Our six-part stained glass window. The sun is rising over the foothills in the back. The Stanislaus River is in the foreground. The thick black bars are casements. This window spreads out over three normal sash windows.

Our sanctuary on the occasion of our 60th Anniversary celebration. In November 2013 we had it painted, installed new carpet, and bought new chairs. We’ve carried the banner on the left in GA parades for 20 years. (“GA”, or “General Assembly”, is our annual nation-wide UU convention.) Elaine Arnold quilted the banner on the right. It incorporates our water tank chalice.

This wisteria vine covers the south entrance to the Johnson Room where we gather for coffee and snacks after the service.

This is our back yard looking out from the Johnson Room. We use the backyard for potlucks in nice weather and the children play in it after most services. The small building in the back is named “Sarana Kuti”. A Buddhist meditation group meets there every week.

This is our backyard on Father’s Day, 2014, when we had our annual BBQ potluck.
